About Hammerdown Manufacturing

Hammerdown Manufacturing was built the same way we machine our parts — with precision, grit, and zero compromise.

Founded in 2001 in North Idaho, our shop has weathered economic downturns, supply chain chaos, industry shifts, and the unpredictable rollercoaster that comes with running a small American manufacturing business. Through it all, one thing has never changed: our commitment to doing things right.

We are machinists first.

Collectively, our team brings over 75 years of combined experience in aerospace and automotive machining — industries where tolerances aren’t suggestions and shortcuts aren’t tolerated. We built our reputation producing precision components where failure is not an option. That background defines everything we do today.

But we are also hunters. Shooters. Outdoorsmen.

We don’t just manufacture parts — we use them. We understand what it means to rely on your equipment in the field, in harsh weather, and under real-world conditions. That perspective shapes our engineering decisions and fuels our obsession with durability, strength, and clean, functional design.

What “Hammerdown” Means

“Hammerdown” isn’t just a name. It’s a mindset.

It means going all in.
It means pushing forward by whatever means necessary.
It means no compromise — in materials, machining, or standards.

In our shop, that translates to:

  • Aerospace-level precision

  • Purpose-built design

  • Materials chosen for strength, not cost savings

  • Finishes that protect, not just look good

  • Products we would trust on our own rifles

If it doesn’t meet that standard, it doesn’t leave the building.

A New Direction: Firearms Components

After more than two decades in precision machining, entering the firearms space is not a pivot — it’s a natural progression.

We have spent years refining our capabilities, investing in equipment, and building processes that allow us to hold extremely tight tolerances consistently. Applying that expertise to firearm components was inevitable.

Beginning in 2026, Hammerdown Manufacturing is stepping into the lever-action market with what we believe will be the most refined, durable, and precisely engineered red dot mounting system ever produced for the platform.

Lever guns deserve modern solutions built with respect for their heritage. Our goal is simple: create components that feel less like aftermarket accessories and more like factory extensions of the rifle itself — seamless, strong, and built to last a lifetime.

Built in North Idaho

Our machine shop sits in North Idaho — a place defined by timber, mountains, cold mornings, and long hunting seasons.

We design for the environment we live in.

Snow. Rain. Dust. Recoil. Hard miles in the field.

Every product that carries the Hammerdown name is built with the understanding that it will be used — not displayed.

Our Commitment

We are not interested in being the biggest.
We are interested in being the best.

Best materials.
Best tolerances.
Best fit.
Best durability.

And when we put our name on something, we stand behind it.

Hammerdown Manufacturing exists for those who demand performance without compromise — for shooters who expect their equipment to work every time, in every condition.

We go all in.

And we’re just getting started.
